Nobuo Uematsu

Nobuo Uematsu is one of the most prominent, celebrated, and beloved composers in the history of video game music. His groundbreaking work on the FINAL FANTASY series has been an inspiration to musicians and gamers worldwide. Beginning with 1987's FINAL FANTASY I (with the iconic “Prelude”), Uematsu’s achievements have both reflected and influenced technological advancements in video games, leading to works of greater scope, length, and ambition. Some of his most recognized music includes FINAL FANTASY VII’s “One-Winged Angel,” FINAL FANTASY VIII’s “Eyes on Me,” “FINAL FANTASY X’s “Zanarkand,” and FINAL FANTASY XIV’s “Answers,” as well as evergreen and adaptive melodies like the “Chocobo Theme,” which occurs in many forms throughout the FINAL FANTASY series. More recently, he composed the theme “Hollow” for the FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE.
